We seek a passionate and empathetic Freelance Activist Videographer to join our team. As a Freelance Activist Videographer, you will be responsible for capturing and producing compelling video content that shines a light on the issues that matter most to our communities.

Responsibilities:

• Film and produce high-quality video content that tells the stories of those often overlooked or marginalized.

• Collaborate with the content team to develop creative concepts and storyboards that effectively communicate the struggles and triumphs of our communities.

• Manage multiple video projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines and videos are of the highest quality.

• Use your creativity to produce visually engaging video content that resonates with our audience and inspires them to take action.

• Work closely with individuals and organizations in our communities to ensure their stories are told with sensitivity and respect.

• Stay up-to-date with video production techniques and tools, and incorporate these into your work.

• Work with external vendors and contractors as needed to execute video projects.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as an activist videographer, preferably in a community-based or advocacy setting

• Excellent skills in video production and editing software, including Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, and After Effects or equivalent software

• Strong storytelling skills, with the ability to create compelling narratives that communicate complex ideas and emotions

• Strong technical skills, including lighting, audio recording, and camera operation

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously

• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and community members

• Empathy and passion for social justice and advocacy
